The most obvious genre companion to Stalker is the original Half-Life, but Stalker is far more ambitious in scope. During the game, you’ll make allegiances with other scavengers, taking on odd jobs and missions and building up a picture of what happened to you. You’ve got amnesia and, not surprising given the circumstances, an itchy trigger finger. The idea is simple – you’ve woken up in the zone contaminated by the explosion in Chernobyl in 1986.
